“That life is short”

There are days—OK, most days—where I follow so many different threads and vacuum up so many disparate bits of information. Sometimes, a few of them weave themselves together in my head. Today, an image, a poem, and a video seemed to resonate on a theme to me, something about the vastness of space and time and the smallness and brevity of each of our lives, less than a single breath:
