There’s a word for that

Torschlusspanik: Literally (more or less), “gate-closing panic,” figuratively and broadly speaking, deadline anxiety of all sorts. Better Than English gives it as “sense of anxiety or fear that one’s life is passing by and that future opportunities are diminishing.” KrautBlog gives it as “the intense anxiety one feels when a decision has to be made before an approaching deadline, but none of the available options looks in any way promising.”
