Literary love in the NYT

(To make it even more literary, the writer Salvatore Scibona “pronounced the couple legally married by virtue of a One Day Marriage Designation issued by Massachusetts.” Scibona is the author of, among other things, a short story called “The Kid” that is always one of my students’ favorites every year, even though — or perhaps because — it always gets them riled up and angry at the characters.)
